We are seeking a Production Supervisor based in our Chicago Factory to join the Rockfon Production team. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Address: 4849 S. The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and has 8 direct reports.

Requirements

2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience leading production teams, including scheduling, performance management, and coaching.
Knowledge of production operations, workplace safety, and continuous improvement practices.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
Experience with SAP or other ERP/MES systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a production team of up to 30 employees to safely achieve production, quality, and efficiency goals.
Schedule and coordinate production activities to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
Coach, train, and evaluate team members, including scheduling, timekeeping, performance management, corrective action, and hiring support.
Monitor production plans, performance, and downtime using SAP and other production systems to identify and implement process improvements.
Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting accident investigations, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, planning, shipping, and other departments to optimize production and resolve operational issues.
Apply Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices to improve productivity and product quality.
Maintain accurate production records, inventory support, and an organized work environment.
Support plant operations, including facility opening/closing and other operational needs as required.
