About The Position

The Greenskeeper maintains the grounds and playing areas of the Long Bay golf course in Longs, South Carolina. The role uses designated tools and equipment under supervisor direction and follows established safety rules and guidelines. The Greenskeeper helps prepare the course for daily play, works collaboratively with team members, and must complete tasks within an acceptable time frame. The schedule is flexible, requires a minimum of 10 hours per week, and includes weekends.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Working knowledge of golf course-specific operations.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
Ability to walk at least five miles daily.
Ability to lift 70 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to perform tasks within an acceptable time frame.
Ability to work a flexible schedule for at least 10 hours per week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintain all aspects of the property grounds.
Maintain bunkers and mow tees, collars, approaches, fairways, rough, and greens using a walking or riding greens mower.
Blow clippings and debris.
Set up the golf course for daily play.
Spread pine straw and mulch, and spray weeds.
Use designated tools and equipment as directed by a supervisor while following safety rules and guidelines.
Promote a positive working environment and relationships with team members across departments and divisions.
Report safety or hazard concerns and work-related injuries to management immediately.
Demonstrate, encourage, and model workplace safety, use required personal protective equipment, and take personal responsibility for safety.
Perform additional duties as necessary.
