About The Position

Warren Oil Company is hiring an entry-level Grease Process Tech I at its West Memphis, Arkansas site. The role is accountable for safely and efficiently performing processes related to batch cooking in the Grease Plant. The employee is expected to learn the overall process and progress toward Grease Process Tech II, beginning by assisting the cook with setting off the day's batch.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to learn Work Instructions and follow them safely according to the product being made.
• Capable of working overtime with little to no notice and on Saturdays.
• Capable of repeatedly lifting 50 pounds over the course of a shift.
• Able to use ladders and stairs and stand for long periods throughout the shift.
• Capable of being certified to wear a dual-cartridge respirator.
• Very high attention to detail, organizational skills, and aptitude for equipment usage.
• Ability to multitask and strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to read and legibly write English.
• Ability to work with others.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a compounding or blending manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience operating pumps and valves.
• Ability to read and interpret standard gauges and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and use the correct raw chemical materials to bring batches of grease into grade according to NLGI standards.
• Safely use the valves, heater, pumps, and other machinery involved in post-cooking processes.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and fully.
• Regularly communicate batch status to a Supervisor.
• Report spills or leaks that could cause an accident or affect the environment.
• Maintain good housekeeping and keep the work area clean.
• Develop an understanding of the overall process and work toward greater understanding of the position's needs.
• Progress toward Grease Process Tech II, beginning with assisting the cook in setting off the day's batch.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
