About The Position

The Graphics Specialist is responsible for mid- to high-level pre-press tasks, including file setup, color separations, trapping, and proofing. The role prepares files for production and ensures they meet technical, quality, and printing requirements. It also supports basic design work as needed and helps resolve file and production issues in coordination with internal teams, external partners, and the plate room.

Requirements

Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
Strong understanding of pre-press processes.
Experience with pre-press and design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar.
Understanding of color theory and color separations.
Knowledge of trapping techniques.
Understanding of printing processes and plate production.
Experience with proofing systems and profiles.
Attention to detail.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to identify and solve technical issues.

Responsibilities

Prepare and set up mid- to high-level pre-press files.
Create and update die-line templates under the direction of the technical team.
Perform color separations and trapping tasks.
Apply advanced trapping and proofing profiles.
Create comps and proofs for client review.
Perform quality-control checks on incoming files and partner deliverables.
Support creation of plate-ready files.
Help resolve file and production issues.
Support communication about file corrections and expectations.
Work with cross-functional teams, including pre-press, production, and the plate room.
Support creation of press color standards and measurement of press sheets.
Understand step and multi-run color setups.
Maintain knowledge of plate room workflows.
