About The Position

TelevisaUnivision’s Production Operations team is seeking a Graphics Operator to play back graphics for live and pre-produced shows. The role works closely with show producers, graphic artists, and production staff and reports to the Production Manager. The position supports 24x7 operations and requires on-call availability and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed, potentially without advance notice. The employee may also need to work onsite for extended periods to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as tropical storms or hurricanes. The position is 100% onsite.

Requirements

• Minimum associate degree or equivalent college degree.
• At least 2 years of experience on live shows.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Working knowledge of control room workflows, basic graphics formats, and graphics execution.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
• Knowledge of iNews and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to handle different duties and switch between tasks without losing efficiency or composure.
• Interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Availability for on-call work and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed, without advance notice.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the Vizrt Graphic System is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cue and trigger graphic elements, including name and location lower thirds, boxes, full screens, and wall graphics.
• Play back graphics for live and pre-produced shows.
• Work closely with show producers, graphic artists, and production staff.
• Be organized, alert, and productive in high-pressure situations while handling tasks that may change in nature.
• Provide on-call coverage and work varying schedules, including days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Work onsite for extended periods when special circumstances require additional coverage.
