About The Position

Just Right Reader is seeking a versatile, mid-level Graphic Designer to support its Product team by creating engaging, polished, brand-aligned visual materials for its literacy products. The ongoing, project-based independent contractor engagement includes work such as book layouts and covers, product materials, flyers, slide decks, presentations, and other creative assets for print and digital use. Projects are assigned as business needs arise, with objectives, deliverables, and deadlines agreed upon by both parties. The anticipated workload is 0–20 hours per week, with no guaranteed minimum hours or assignments. Contractors set their own schedules and availability, and should generally respond to project inquiries within 24 hours when reasonably possible. The contractor independently manages projects, communicates progress, incorporates feedback, and delivers production-ready files on time. The engagement excludes people management, HR, and administrative duties. This is an ongoing 1099 contractor agreement, evaluated monthly for continuation based on business needs. The contractor determines their work schedule, methods, tools, and approach, subject to agreed milestones and deadlines, and may serve other clients. Compensation is monthly retainer or project-based, as specified in a separate agreement. Services are remote; occasional in-person collaboration may occur by mutual agreement.
