About The Position

We are seeking a talented, organized graphic designer to join a mission-driven team on a contract basis, with an immediate need for event and booth design support. As our Graphic Designer, you'll shape how we show up visually: at conferences and events, on social media, and across our public-facing materials. Your job is to make technical content polished, on-brand, and beautiful. This role is focused on graphic design; no video or motion work is required.

Requirements

• Proven experience building infographics and event/print materials
• Strong eye for polish: your portfolio shows clean, beautiful, brand-consistent work
• Demonstrated ability to tailor graphics for diverse audiences
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Highly organized with files and asset management
• Comfortable working within brand guidelines and established systems (we use Trello)
• Able to work efficiently with quick turnarounds

Nice To Haves

• Figma experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Transform technical content and rough mock-ups from our team into clear, compelling infographics and visuals for diverse audiences, from scientists to policymakers to the general public.
• Create social media visuals that translate marine health data into engaging, shareable graphics.
• Design brand-compliant templates that empower our global team to maintain visual consistency.
• Convert content-heavy documentation into high-impact visual formats: email designs, one-pagers, presentation decks, posters, and datasheets.
• Design conference booth materials, event graphics, and supporting print and digital assets.
