Project Soar is seeking a graphic designer to develop a series of engaging social media visuals for "BIGGER Écoles (BE): Changing Attitudes and Social Norms to Prevent Child Marriage in the Marrakech-Safi Region." This three-year program, co-funded by the European Union and the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation, aims to promote gender equality and prevent child marriage by engaging schools, communities, and civil society. The social media campaign will raise awareness about the harmful impacts of child marriage and encourage positive dialogue among adolescents, parents, educators, and community members. The selected designer will work closely with the Project Soar team to translate campaign messages into visually compelling and accessible content that resonates with Moroccan audiences, particularly adolescents and young people. The campaign will combine concise messaging with original illustrations and graphic elements to create educational, engaging, and shareable content for social media platforms. The visuals should reinforce campaign messages around the risks and consequences of child marriage, girls' rights and access to education, health and wellbeing, gender equality, and empowerment and positive alternatives to child marriage. The tone should be educational, hopeful, empowering, and youth-friendly, communicating a serious issue without being overly alarming, instead encouraging reflection, discussion, and action. The visual style should be bold, modern, and clean, illustration-led with limited use of photography, accessible and easy to understand, visually engaging for adolescents and young adults, with inclusive representation of Moroccan girls, boys, families, and communities, and a consistent visual identity across all campaign materials, optimized for social media consumption.
