About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Graphic Design student assistant supports Coyote Radio & Advertising by designing basic print and digital marketing. This individual must be able to work well in a team environment as well as on their own with manager supervision. Student employee must be solution-driven to keep up with department needs. You will be responsible for creating basic visually-appealing designs that support campus events, CSUSB department programs, and our sponsor organizations.

Requirements

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Admission or registration as a CSU student.
Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
Eligible to work in the United States
Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card

Nice To Haves

A major in Graphic Design.
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or similar design software.
Knowledge of fundamental design, layout, and typography principles.
A portfolio of sample work is requested.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing basic print and digital marketing.
Creating basic visually appealing designs that support campus events.
Creating basic digital images that will also be used in the print marketing of the same image.
