About The Position

At Y Winnipeg, the Graphic Designer & Digital Coordinator is a key team member responsible for shaping and elevating the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg’s brand and digital presence. This role blends creative vision with hands-on execution to tell the organization's story, drive engagement, and ensure every communication reflects its brand, values, and community impact. The position serves as a visual leader and digital storyteller, stewarding the identity and digital presence of the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg. It involves being a hands-on creative lead, developing multimedia brand and marketing collateral to advance the mission and support member acquisition goals. The coordinator will craft sophisticated graphic identities and brand collateral, curate the digital presence across social platforms, marketing campaigns, and communications, and work with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent, inspiring, and high-performing touchpoints.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Creative Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and a solid understanding of UX/CX, web standards, and content management systems
  • Strong experience leading creative and production processes, including interpreting briefs, developing campaign concepts and hands-on execution of complete ad suites
  • Experience in digital marketing, including social media, SEO/SEM, display advertising and analytics tools (e.g., Google Ads, GA4)
  • Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for creativity, innovation, and using design to make a meaningful community impact

Responsibilities

  • Develop and build-out distinct, impactful visual profiles for our events, initiatives, and integrated marketing campaigns (digital, print, OOH, video, and more).
  • Shape and manage the organization’s organic digital presence, including regular website maintenance, social media strategy, content calendars, email newsletters, and more.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and lead our external partners to deliver high-quality creative solutions that meet strategic goals.
  • Manage in-house and sourced photo and video shoots, editing, production and execution.
  • Regularly use analytics and insights to understand and improve campaign performance and audience engagement.
