About The Position

Hammond Power Solutions Inc. is a global manufacturer headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. HPS has grown to become the leader in North America in the custom design and manufacture of dry type transformers. For the past century, HPS has grown to deliver electrical power solutions to global markets and provides solutions for complex applications like, mining, rectifier, drives, traction, wind, solar and many other electrical power applications. The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Graphic Design Student, come grow with us! This is for a 4 or 8 month Co-op position starting in September 2026, depending on candidate availability.

The Graphic Design/Multimedia Student will support the marketing team by creating and updating visual assets across multiple channels. This role will assist with general collateral rebrand updates, event signage, PowerPoint graphics, flyer development, and social media image creation, helping ensure a consistent and engaging brand presence across all touchpoints.

Requirements

• Working towards a Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia Design
• Strong understanding of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator or Photoshop
• Comfortable updating PowerPoint templates
• Strong capability in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative and team oriented

Responsibilities

• Working on brand updates; updating collateral with updated logos and messaging
• Develop graphics, flyers and signage to support an internal and external Anniversary celebration
• Support miscellaneous graphic design requests as needed
• Social media support; Develop images to support social media posts
