Graphic Design Intern

About The Position

Ampact is seeking a talented and motivated graphic designer for a paid, part-time internship averaging 10 hours per week. The intern will work with the marketing and communications team to create graphics, gain experience following brand style guides, and build a portfolio. There may be an opportunity for an extension and additional hours beyond May 2027. Applicants must live in MN, WI, IL, ID, IA, MS, GA, VA, FL, CA, CO, NY, or KY. Applicants must submit work samples or provide a link to an online portfolio demonstrating an aptitude for graphic design.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a certificate or degree program in graphic design, web design, desktop publishing, or a related discipline.
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Xpress or Adobe Creative Suite.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
Submit work samples or provide a link to an online portfolio demonstrating an aptitude for graphic design.
Must live in one of the following states: MN, WI, IL, ID, IA, MS, GA, VA, FL, CA, CO, NY, or KY.

Responsibilities

Use brand templates and style guides to create graphics for social media, blogs, emails, and presentations.
Research, identify, tag, and prepare photos and image libraries for marketing and promotion.
Help maintain a library of images and templates.
Support photo and video shoots or event photography.
Collaborate with the supervisor to develop new templates and improve visual impact.
