About The Position

Brand New School is seeking a Graphic/Branding Designer for a full-time hybrid role at its New York studio. The company describes itself as a modern creative company where artists, thinkers, and makers develop original work for brands. The designer will create graphic and branding work across a variety of content, contribute to creative concepts, and collaborate with the studio team. Brand New School has approximately 60 employees across the United States.

Requirements

Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
A keen sense of composition, typography, and graphic design fundamentals.
Deep familiarity with workflow, saving, and rendering best practices.
Efficiency, attention to detail, organization, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
A portfolio demonstrating the ability to design high-level work for a variety of content types.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with creative directors, art directors, producers, and peers.
Ability to take creative direction and respond to feedback in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

Experience with After Effects.
Interest in working and learning in a collaborative, creative, and potentially fast-paced environment with like-minded individuals.

Responsibilities

Create designs, style frames, and motion concepts for a variety of content.
Conceive and visualize forward-thinking ideas that push the creative boundaries of projects.
Actively participate in the team and contribute to the creative culture of the studio.
Create guidelines for displaying and using logos and other branding materials.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with creative directors, art directors, producers, and peers.
Take creative direction, respond to feedback in a timely manner, and respect project deadlines.
