About The Position

The Grants Specialist will coordinate with and support the Grants Manager to research and identify funding opportunities, write and prepare grant proposals, complete progress reports, maintain communication and relationships with internal departments and funding partners. Candidates must reside within NorthLakes' service area at the time of hire and maintain residency throughout employment.

Requirements

Bachelors degree required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two or more years of demonstrated experience in writing and submitting successful grant proposals and organizational communications.

Nice To Haves

Experience in communication planning and implementation.
Knowledge of federal grant management policies and procedures and experience in preparing and managing federal grants.
Ability to work with and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Support Grants Department in researching, vetting, coordinating, planning and executing the grant writing and submission process
Complete and monitor progress reports as needed to maintain grant funding
Coordinate with finance, data, and operation teams to ensure monitoring and evaluation of grant funded activities
Use project management tools to document grant details, deadlines, and contacts
Develop and maintain master files on all grant programs and projects
Research corporate, foundation, and government sources of funding for programs or services for review by management
Assist in managing grant the funding process
Attend and support grant meetings
Prioritize concurrent tasks to meet deadlines and requests to meet tight deadlines: flag obstacles and propose solutions in a timely manner
Maintain understanding of NorthLakes mission, vision, and service area, programs, and services offered.
