GRANTS PROGRAM MANAGER | Grants Unit
About The Position
Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Program Manager in the Grants Unit of the Executive Bureau. The Grants Unit administers competitive grant programs statewide that are funded, in part, by the AGO’s enforcement work. These programs return millions of dollars to local communities each year to support a wide range of initiatives, including maternal health, summer youth employment opportunities, and eviction record sealing. The Grants Unit also applies for and manages federal funding, which helps expand the AGO’s work.
Requirements
- A minimum of four years of experience in public sector/non-profit initiatives, program development, and/or grants management.
- Demonstrated commitment to public service.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of multiple programs independently.
- Financial competence in program budget oversight and payments coordination.
- Ability to oversee grantee reporting and coordinate grantee site visits.
- Experience synthesizing data and preparing program reports.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Practical experience using database or project management software.
- Ability to effectively engage with external parties and provide technical assistance to grantees.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments.
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized work style.

- Commitment to supporting a respectful and inclusive work environment.

- Prior experience with federal grant programs, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Grants Unit Director with the management of multiple grant programs that support the strategic priorities of the AGO.
- Facilitate the initial request for grant proposals.
- Review grant application materials.
- Update program guidelines.
- Contract with grantees.
- Review programmatic and fiscal reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursal of grant funds.
- Provide technical assistance to grantees.
- Ensure successful grantee program completion.
- Prepare evaluation reports.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director.
- Assist with the administration of federal grants on an as-needed basis.
