Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related field
  • Three to five (3–5) years of experience in grants financial management, nonprofit finance, government contracting, healthcare finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with CCBHCs, FQHCs, behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or other federally/state-funded programs.
  • Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)
  • A combination of Education and experience is considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven background in financial management, grant administration, and compliance (experience within healthcare, behavioral health, CCBHCs, FQHCs, or non-profit finance is strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with government funding regulations, including Uniform Guidance and federal/state grant reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation skills with a meticulous eye for financial variances and data integrity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner seamlessly with both financial professionals and clinical/program staff.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple competing deadlines across a diverse portfolio of awards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Finance contact for all grants.
  • Review awards and budgets, monitor expenditures against funding, build budget-to-actual variance analyses, and drive forecasting and budget revisions.
  • Coordinate invoice submissions, drawdowns, and reimbursement requests.
  • Reconcile grant revenue and accounts receivable and partner with Accounting to ensure accurate general ledger reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance and funder rules.
  • Maintain pristine, audit-ready financial files, manage cost-sharing/matching requirements, and spearhead audit preparations.
  • Lead financial closeouts, resolve lingering commitments, and support executive leadership in forecasting long-term financial sustainability and program renewals.
  • Partner with clinical, quality, and data teams to align spending with approved scopes of work.
  • Translate dense financial compliance guidelines into clear, actionable insights for program staff.
  • Build dynamic financial dashboards, analyze spending trends, and pioneer improvements to internal controls and grant management workflows.
