About The Position

This is a temporary position for up to 9 months. The Office of Operations & Administration (OOA) unit exists to efficiently manage the overall administration of the Division and to ensure consistent coordination of all similar functions between the program offices within the Division and Department. The scope of work for this position is to provide support in archiving grant data from the legacy Grants Management System (GMS), testing the new GMS before each new step/new program launches, and creating testing guidelines and instructional job aids for staff and external partners. This work includes compiling and sorting information according to priorities, troubleshooting customer requests, applying data program techniques and procedures, generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, performing backup operations, keeping information confidential, complying with data integrity and security policies, ensuring proper use of office equipment and addressing any malfunctions, and exporting and saving information from existing systems to a Google folder.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of relevant experience in database administration including configuration, testing, troubleshooting and end user training and support

Responsibilities

  • Training users on software in person or through tutorials, such as videos, manuals, or digital pages
  • Testing computer components, monitoring and maintaining systems, and performing performance tuning
  • Analyze specifications: Review and analyze the software's specifications before performing any tests
  • Develop tests: Collaborate with end users to develop test plans
  • Execute tests: Perform exploratory testing, functional testing, and regression testing
  • Document bugs: Record bugs, glitches, and other flaws as each test is executed
  • Troubleshoot issues
  • Prepare reports: Detail the software's effectiveness and any needed adjustments
