About The Position

The Grants Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of federal, state, and competitive grants, including grant research, application development, CCIP administration, compliance monitoring, budgeting, reporting, and post-award management to ensure alignment with TMSA’s strategic and educational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Education, Finance, Accounting, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • Experience in grant writing and/or grant management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with NC DPI CCIP system and federal education grants (preferred)
  • Experience in a school system or nonprofit organization (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all entitlement grants (e.g., Title I, II, III, IV, IDEA, etc.) using the CCIP system
  • Develop, enter, and maintain grant applications, budgets, and narratives in CCIP
  • Ensure alignment of grant applications with school improvement plans and program needs
  • Submit funding applications, amendments, and revisions in CCIP in a timely manner
  • Monitor grant budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with approved CCIP plans
  • Prepare for and support NC DPI monitoring and audits
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and NC DPI regulations and reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all CCIP-related submissions
  • Research and identify new grant opportunities aligned with TMSA’s mission and strategic priorities
  • Maintain a grant opportunities calendar and tracking system
  • Collaborate with leadership and program teams to develop strong grant proposals
  • Write, edit, and submit grant applications, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents
  • Coordinate the collection of required data and attachments for submissions
  • Oversee implementation of awarded competitive grants
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Track performance metrics and outcomes
  • Prepare interim and final reports for funders
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
  • Support program staff in implementing grant-funded initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related matters
  • Collaborate with school leaders, central office staff, and external partners
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on grant compliance, CCIP processes, and procedures
  • Support audits, monitoring visits, and reviews related to grants
  • Maintain a centralized grant management system (applications, awards, reports, deadlines)
  • Ensure all grant documentation is organized and accessible
  • Track key deadlines, including CCIP submission windows and amendment timelines
  • Maintain copies of CCIP applications, approvals, and revisions for audit readiness
