About The Position

The Manager of Grants and Contracts is responsible for managing grant budget development, financial analysis, proposal support, contract-related documentation, reimbursement submissions, and financial grant compliance activities. This position works collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure grant and contract requirements are met with fiscal accuracy, timely reporting, sound financial oversight, and professional accountability, consistent with the organization’s mission, policies, and funding obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in grant administration, proposal development, budgeting, contract compliance, reimbursement processing, or related work is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current knowledge of the organization’s structure, programs, funding priorities, grant budgets, contract terms, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and submit monthly cost reimbursement requests in accordance with approved budgets, allowable costs, funder guidelines, and contract requirements.
  • Identify, research, and monitor grant opportunities from governmental agencies, foundations, and other funding sources, including review of financial eligibility, match requirements, and sustainability considerations.
  • Develop grant budgets, budget narratives, cost allocations, and related financial documentation in compliance with funder guidelines and internal finance procedures.
  • Coordinate with program leaders and finance staff to ensure proposal narratives, budgets, approvals, supporting schedules, and required attachments are complete, accurate, and aligned with program objectives.
  • Ensure grant proposals, financial reports, reimbursement requests, budget revisions, and related submissions are accurate, complete, properly supported, and submitted by established deadlines.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to grant budgets, submitted applications, funding requirements, contract documentation, allowable expenditures, and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with funders, partners, vendors, and stakeholders to support accurate invoicing, reimbursement, reporting, and fiscal compliance.
  • Coordinate with leadership and finance staff to compile, organize, analyze, and submit funder-required financial and programmatic reports throughout the grant or contract period.
  • Maintain accurate grant and contract records, financial documentation, budget tracking files, reimbursement support, reporting calendars, and compliance monitoring systems.
