About The Position

The Budget and Grants Coordinator is responsible for supporting the effective and efficient administration of budgeted funds and grant invoicing processes. This includes assisting with grantee invoice templates, analyzing and monitoring expenditures for all state and federal programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field (e.g. Public Administration, Public Budgeting, Accounting, Finance) and experience equivalent to 1 year full-time professional staff administrative or analytical experience.
  • Substitution of Experience for Education Accepted.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong Attention to Detail

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the ECD Budget and Financial Operations Administrators and the Chief Financial Policy Advisor to ensure budget details of all grant program elements are covered in the department's budget.
  • Serve as a liaison for programs during the budget planning phase of program development.
  • Create all budget templates for state and program and federal programs.
  • Provide setup and technical support for requests for reimbursement invoice templates.
  • Manage and organize monthly program expenditures, accrued liabilities and other year-end responsibilities as it relates to all budgets and programmatic elements.
  • Organize operational and programmatic documents and folders
  • Assist with organization and management of quarterly program manager training and other related technical assistance activities.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual reporting for direct appropriations
  • Assist with finalization of system creation, training scheduling and technical assistance for cash management and invoicing system.
  • Assist with all program activities to include but not limited to outreach sessions, review of monitoring reports, review of closeout reports, etc.
  • Complete other applicable duties as assigned.
