About The Position

Children’s Advocacy Centers™ of Texas, Inc. (CACTX) is seeking a Grants Administrator to support its mission of protecting children in Texas. This role is crucial for managing state and federal passthrough funding for eligible children's advocacy centers. The Grants Administrator will handle administrative activities, communicate with local centers, review applications and reimbursement requests, and manage grant reporting. The position requires a high level of professionalism, ethics, and exceptional customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university.
  • Two years of grant or contract administration and/or finance experience, preferably in managing government grants/contracts.
  • Solid computer skills, including the Office suite of programs.
  • Significant prior experience using Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with grant management systems and databases.
  • Knowledge of UGMS/TxGMS and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to make decisions within standard operating protocol.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement the pass-through grant application and contracting process in collaboration with the Contract Administration team, coordinating with other CACTX departments and local centers.
  • Review local center applications against annual membership requirements and provide customer support.
  • Participate in the annual risk assessment process and development of local center monitoring plans.
  • Participate in contract monitoring activities, including reviewing financial documents and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Process reimbursement requests from local centers, ensuring accuracy, validity, and compliance.
  • Resolve questions or issues related to reimbursement requests with local centers.
  • Monitor local center financial contacts to identify changes in reimbursement preparers or financial contacts.
  • Train new reimbursement preparers on CACTX reimbursement processes and requirements.
  • Process budget amendments to ensure allowability and compliance with grant guidance.
  • Recoup disallowed costs and communicate process requirements to local centers in partnership with Contract Specialists.
  • Participate in the development and revision of department policies, procedures, guidelines, and grant management tools.
  • Create and update resources for local centers.
  • Perform other contract/grant administration responsibilities as appropriate and necessary.
