About The Position

This position is in the Compliance, Performance, and Reporting (CPR) Unit and reports directly to the Senior Management Analyst Supervisor. This is a full-time position that assists the SMAS in the administration, management, and evaluation of federal and state grants. This position is responsible for the collection and reporting of required performance data, reviewing subrecipient single audits, conducting subgrant monitoring, and processing programmatic closeouts for assigned subawards.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system including courts, corrections, law enforcement, and support activities
  • Knowledge of researching statutes, federal codes, and manuals
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently, organizing, planning, and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to evaluate program performance and recommend problem solutions
  • Ability to organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and overseeing the subgrant on-site and desk programmatic, administrative, and financial monitoring processes for all assigned subawards to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and program objectives established in approved grant applications
  • Collecting and reviewing monthly or quarterly subgrant performance reports and aggregate data to ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Reviewing Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports/Single Audits to ensure compliance with 2 C.F.R. § 200 – Subpart F
  • Reviewing and processing programmatic closeout packages
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and applying applicable statutes, codes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to recipients and subrecipients of CJG grant programs. Ensure Department compliance with state and federal policies and requirements
  • Providing training and technical assistance to staff and subgrantees in the use of an automated grants management system. Participate in conferences, workshops, and seminars relevant to grant programs. Contribute materials or documentation for training purposes, as required, and assist in training new staff.
