About The Position
This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding. Reports to the Director of Upward Bound San Marcos program. The Upward Bound Grant Specialist assists with the academic achievement and pursuit of post- secondary education enrollment for program participants. Position located at three target schools (San Marcos, Kyle, Seguin) and at the Texas State Campus in San Marcos. Evening and weekend work required.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience with academic advising, college, and career preparation, and the college exploration/application process.
- Experience developing programs, events, trips, and workshops for students.
- Experience working with summer programs for students.
- Bilingual (Spanish) speaking/writing.
