The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a Grant and Proposal Writing Intern in our Mission Advancement department. Mission Advancement is responsible for raising foundation and government grants, individual major gifts ($100,000 or more), and estate gifts from donors who wish to make an impact and leave a lasting legacy. The majority of our major gift requests are presented in writing, through a proposal or application process or at the donor’s invitation. In this role, you will gain on-the-job experience learning how to identify new prospects, how to develop a fundraising proposal strategy, as well as best practices in writing and customizing compelling proposals to raise funds for the prioritized initiatives of the AHA. The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization.
