About The Position

As our Grants Manager, you will play a key role in helping YWCA Princeton to develop and implement a comprehensive corporate, government and foundation grant fundraising pipeline that advances the impact of our mission. You will collaborate with dedicated colleagues and community members who share your commitment to advancing equity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, non-profit management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit grant writing
  • Proven track record of securing grants from a variety of funding sources
  • Write and edit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive attitude and exceptional organizational abilities
  • Manage grant calendars, submission deadlines, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with funder guidelines and application protocols
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with early childhood education, English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction, health and wellness, economic empowerment, and racial and gender equity advocacy
  • Experience with CRM software systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
  • Gather and prepare all materials to accompany grant submissions (e.g., financials, etc.)
  • Comply with grantor reporting requirements
  • Conduct corporate, government, and foundation research to identify and assess funding opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in funding policies and guidelines
  • Track and manage deadlines for submissions and follow-ups
  • Collaborate with program and finance teams to develop accurate budgets and narratives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders
  • Engage in organization-wide training, attend weekly team meetings, participate in all-staff meetings and institution-wide retreats, and develop both professional and personal commitments related to the YWCA-Princeton mission.
