About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Grant Management Office (GMO), Assistant Director of Grants Management Office, Grants Management Specialist IV, and OSDH leadership, this role serves as a Grant Management Office Specialist for both state and federal cross-cutting agency grants. The incumbent will assist in planning, development, and implementation of grant initiatives and will serve as a point of contact throughout the grant lifecycle. This position will ensure regular communication with key stakeholders and interested parties, monitor progress toward established objectives, and assist in overall grant management to ensure compliance with federal requirements and successful program outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public health or a related field plus one year of professional or technical experience in a grants management, public health, business, or leadership capacity; or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of professional or technical experience in a public health, grants management, business, or leadership capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • If education, certification or licensure is required to meet qualifications, applicants must provide documentation at the time of application.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and manage projects in alignment with grant requirements and agency policies.
  • Proven success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to interpret, analyze, and resolve complex operational or business challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365 platforms, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and other web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support tasks across the full grant lifecycle, including application review, compliance, submission coordination, and documentation of awards and active contracts
  • Conduct invoice reviews and second-level reviews to ensure alignment with approved budgets, program goals, and regulatory requirements
  • Apply working knowledge of 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) to routine grant activities and compliance reviews
  • Perform subrecipient monitoring activities, including desk reviews and support for site visits
  • Coordinate and support reporting requirements, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Communicate with grantees and stakeholders to resolve issues and provide guidance
  • Maintain grant files and documentation in accordance with audit and compliance standards
  • Participate in grant training and onboarding activities to build knowledge of grants management processes and regulations
  • Stay current on grants management regulations and best practices, applying knowledge in daily work
  • Being present in the office is an essential function of this position
