About The Position

The Vendor Management Specialist improves vendor management operations through various processes focused on vendor monitoring, training, and system maintenance. This role involves implementing organizational policies, programs, and services. Key responsibilities include resolving transaction issues, setting up new stores in the system, maintaining the UPC database and preparing vendor, food redemption and EBT reports. The Vendor Management Specialist also coordinates vendor visits, provides excellent public service, conducts vendor training, maintains records and ensures compliance with federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or two (2) years (60 credit hours) coursework from a 4-year college or university; or three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a related field.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
