About The Position

The Grant Coordinator plays a key role in the full grant lifecycle including identifying funding opportunities, leading and writing grant proposals, managing proposal development timelines and partner coordination, and supporting grant implementation, reporting, and compliance. This position works closely with internal teams, funders, and community partners to ensure projects are successfully executed and aligned with organizational priorities and community needs. Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in grant writing and grant management required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, communications, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience securing and managing community and public health-focused grants strongly preferred
  • Experience with federal, state, or foundation grants strongly preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and reporting
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and accountability
  • Experience working with community organizations, healthcare systems, or collaborative partnerships preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience with grant or reporting systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead grant administration activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with funder requirements
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities that align with community health improvement priorities
  • Coordinate the full grant application process, including proposal development, grant writing, and final application submission
  • Support grant procurement activities, partner coordination, and contract development
  • Oversee multiple grant projects simultaneously, including timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and templates for subgrantees and partners
  • Review grant deliverables and reports for quality, completeness, and accuracy prior to submission
  • Serve as a primary liaison between HCNO, funders, and subgrantees
  • Represent HCNO in grant-related meetings and collaborative initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement of grant systems, tools, and processes
