About The Position

As part of our fabrication line, a Granite Polisher will gain product knowledge and train with team members to progress with machine operations. This role is responsible for polishing material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools. The Granite Polisher will also verify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework. Teamwork is essential, including helping coworkers in other stations if needed, and maintaining a clean station is a key responsibility. The role also requires the responsible wearing of all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.).

Requirements

Experience desired as a Granite Polisher
Fabricating Marble, Granite, and Quartz
Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields, fabrication
Polishing, grinding finish materials such as (glass, iron, steel, natural stone, etc.)
Machine operations (forklift, overhead crane, boom lift)
Basic math skills (adding and subtracting measurements)
Basic mechanical knowledge (hand tools/power tools)
Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs
Safety awareness

Responsibilities
