About The Position

The Grain Elevator Operator role is a hands-on position focused on the receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain. Responsibilities include monitoring the condition of stored grain and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Operators will be cross-trained to perform various tasks within the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Availability to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders
• Required to wear PPE

Responsibilities

• Grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading.
• Monitoring stored grain condition.
• Maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment.
• Performing a variety of tasks as cross-trained.
