About The Position

In this position you will develop the skills to safely and efficiently lead our Teams, while promoting a culture grounded in safety behaviors, strong leadership, and continuous improvement focused around 5 core operating fundamentals. Structured technical training will be provided. Will be required to obtain applicable certifications such as fumigation license, weighers and graders license, OSHA 10 etc. within the first 180 days. Accompany both the Safety and Reliability Teams during assessments. Participate in Team Member engagement including leading growth discussions and leadership conversations. Attend company leadership trainings focused on safety, leadership, and hiring and onboarding. Provide leadership, support and accountability for the implementation of all required safety, regulatory and company programs and/or protocols. Conduct quarterly Team Member reviews and perform Team Member observations. Collaborate with leaders to coordinate timing of maintenance and repairs. Oversee elevator operations. Schedule and lead Team Members. Perform safety inspections, monitor facility operations and quality controls. Effectively communicate tasks, directives, and policies with both senior management and supervised Team Members. Ability to read and comprehend both written and oral operational and safety rules, policies and procedures, and to communicate clearly with fellow Team Members and leaders. This position is expected to spend time at different locations to develop leadership skills while providing exposure to other facilities, equipment, and operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of operational management and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle physically strenuous tasks.
  • Ability to work in tight and confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.
  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to detect odors and understand/discern safety warning systems.
  • Ability to wear PPE which will include respirators in certain situations.
  • Ability to be exposed to the weather, including extreme heat and/or cold, wind, rain, snow, and other adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods of time over uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to be exposed to various site hazards, including but not limited to loud noises and flashing lights, dust and fumes, hazardous materials, heavy equipment and machinery, and other situations specific to the work and location.

Nice To Haves

  • College education with course of study in agriculture or business administration is preferred.
  • Work experience requiring strict adherence to regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Work experience related to inventory management and product quality programs is preferred.
