About The Position

This position involves co-supervising undergraduate students who serve as Baylor Experience & Admissions Representatives (BEARs). The role includes assisting with the recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance assessment of these students. Responsibilities also encompass collaborating on the planning and execution of Undergraduate Admissions events, coordinating group tours, managing communication with schools, and providing input for continuous improvement of events and services. The position requires collaboration with the Campus Visits team to manage operations at the Hurd Welcome Center and assisting in hosting families at home football games.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate student
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours a week
  • Available for a summer start and ongoing employment

Responsibilities

  • Co-supervise over 160 undergraduate students serving as Baylor Experience & Admissions Representatives (BEARs)
  • Assist with the interview process for recruitment of BEARs
  • Assist with the training and onboarding of all new BEARs
  • Assess student performance and provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and professional development
  • Collaborate on the planning and execution of Undergraduate Admissions events such as Premiere, Invitation to Excellence, Daily Visits, and other large-scale recruitment experiences
  • Coordinate group tours and manage communication with schools
  • Provide input and support for continuous improvement of events, training, and guest services
  • Collaborate with the Campus Visits team, including other Graduate Assistants, to manage the daily and event operations of the Hurd Welcome Center
  • Assist in hosting families at home football games
