About The Position

Make a meaningful contribution to the Graduate Research experience at Monash. As a Graduate Research Administrator, you’ll provide specialist advice and high-level administrative support to prospective and enrolled Graduate Research students, supervisors and academic staff across the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. You’ll coordinate Graduate Research admissions, candidature and scholarship applications, providing guidance on University policies, regulations and processes. You’ll also play a key role in coordinating the Faculty’s Graduate Research internship program, supporting scholarship rounds, workshops and forums, and providing support to the Graduate Research Committee. Working closely with academic and professional staff across the Faculty and University, you’ll contribute to improving systems, processes and services that support Graduate Research activities.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree and experience in academic administration, ideally within a tertiary environment.
  • Strong understanding of Graduate Research policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Genuine commitment to providing responsive, professional support to a diverse range of students and stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.
  • Confident managing competing priorities, working to tight deadlines and exercising independent judgement in a busy environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience using databases and student management systems are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Callista or other Monash student systems highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Graduate Research admissions, candidature and scholarship applications.
