Requirements

  • A high school diploma and five (5) years of appropriate experience required.
  • Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Advises potential graduate students on programs of study, assists with the processing of graduate applications, advises students regarding course availability and scheduling, prepares graduation checklists, and conducts graduate student registration.
  • Assists with registration for Directed Independent Research courses.
  • Attends recruitment fairs at FAU and other universities to enhance identity and visibility.
  • Assists with the graduate program communications to faculty.
  • Ensures facilities and technology issues in the classroom or laboratories are resolved.
  • Assists with the scheduling, classroom utilization, and Biomedical Science course offerings.
  • Assists with the reviews of all COM Graduate Faculty course syllabi to meet Provost Office requirements and uploads syllabi to the appropriate FAU databases.
  • Coordinates the scheduling, travel, finances, space allocation, accommodations, and honorariums with invited speakers for the COM Distinguished Lecture Series.
  • Prepares reports and responds to informational requests.
  • Maintaining databases and routine fiscal tasks in Workday.
  • Help organize and facilitate the College of Medicine Office of Graduate Programs.
  • Assist in facilitating IT requests for recording and live-streaming teleconferences of Office of Graduate Program-sponsored lectures and graduate courses.
  • Assist in the organization and implementation of the College of Medicine Graduate Student Research Day, Fall Retreat, and any other events.
  • Perform other related duties and complete special projects, as assigned by the Associate Director or Associate Dean.
