Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN), Convenient Care
About The Position
Provides direct patient care activities using the nursing process under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides general nursing services to patients under physician supervision and performs lab, diagnostic, therapeutic, and respiratory procedures according to established standards and the Licensed Practical Nurse’s scope of practice. The role includes managing supplies and medications and, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, providing patient teaching and discharge planning. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., rotating every fourth weekend. Benefits are available from day one. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited practical nurse program.
- No experience required.
- Supervisor experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

- Manage inventory of supplies and medications.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures.
- Implement treatments and procedures within the Licensed Practical Nurse’s scope of practice.
- Provide patient teaching and discharge planning under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
