The Professional Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. A role that requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership, the Professional Staff Nurse establishes relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients’ families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. As a Professional Staff Nurse and a member of the care delivery team, you will set the standards for the level and quality of nursing care and possess authority and accountability for its provision. At all times, you will exemplify a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.

Requirements

  • Current student nurse graduating in Fall/Winter 2026, Spring 2027 or Summer 2027.
  • Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of PA.
  • Graduate nurses must take the State Board Nursing Examination within 60 days of hire.
  • NIHSS upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

  • Telemetry: Certs required (upon hire or within 6 mo) are Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia & ACLS.
  • ICU: Certs required (upon hire or within 6mo) are ACLS, Basic Critical Care Nursing Course, & Basic Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course.
  • ED: Certs required (upon hire or within 6mo) are ACLS & PALS.
  • OR: Certs required (upon hire or within 6 months) ACLS & Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia Interpretation.
