Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Eligible to practice as determined by State Board of Nursing
• Less than one year of experience working as an RN
• RN licensure in the State of Missouri, or new graduate of accredited school of nursing and must obtain licensure within 6 months of graduation.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) or FUTURE - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) within 90 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• State of Work Location: Illinois: FUTURE - Registered Professional Nurse (RN) within 3 months of Official NCLEX Pass Date - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) AND Official NCLEX Pass Letter - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• State of Work Location: Missouri and Oklahoma: FUTURE - NCLEX results for Registered Nurses must be provided within three months of the graduation date - Pearson VUE AND FUTURE - NCLEX test date within 30 days - Pearson VUE
• State of Work Location: Wisconsin: FUTURE - Status of Fail on The National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses within 3 months of graduation date - Pearson VUE AND FUTURE - NCLEX test date within 30 days - Pearson VUE AND WI Nursing Temporary Permit - State of Wisconsin

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessment/reassessment.
• Establishes, coordinates and evaluates a plan of care based on analysis of assessment data, patient diagnosis, lab data, tests, procedures, physician orders, protocols and standards of care and other information as relevant.
• Provides and documents nursing interventions based on assessed patient needs, plan of care, and changes in patient status.
• Documents and or communicates nursing care and or changes in patient condition.
• Provides specialized care to patients at high risk for injury.
• Demonstrates accountability for own professional practice.
• Ability to relate to coworkers in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Safety/Infection Control: Performs job in accordance with safety and infection control policies.
• Service: Provides service excellence to the customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Incorporates Performance Improvement and Evidenced Based Practice into individual professional practice.
• Provides age-appropriate care to: Adult, Geriatric.
