About The Position

Under limited supervision, this role provides a high level of diversified administrative support in assisting the clerkship manager in the management and direction of the medical student-training program. The medical student coordinator will coordinate the educational activities for incoming medical students from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM), Western University of Health Sciences (WUHS), and American Canadian School of Medicine (ASCOM). This role will also coordinate activities and provide support to the undergraduate medical education department by processing faculty logs and following up on payment, actively participating in the student onboarding process, scheduling, and facilitating the student feedback and evaluation process. The medical student coordinator will function as a liaison between medical students, departments, attendings, administration, and outside institutions. The medical student coordinator must be highly communicative and organized, especially in sorting documents, maintaining the data system, and responding to inquiries in person, via email, and over the phone.
