About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Graduate Marketing & Recruitment, the Graduate Marketing & Recruitment Officer will support the implementation and coordination of graduate recruitment, communications, marketing, and prospective student engagement initiatives that advance the University’s graduate enrolment objectives. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines recruitment and outreach, event coordination, digital communications, CRM activities, and prospective student engagement.

Requirements

  • A community college diploma, typically from a two-year program, with up to two years of relevant experience in student recruitment, marketing, communications, enrolment management or a related field, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting communications across digital platforms, including websites, email, and social media.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging recruitment activities and presentations.
  • Experience with digital content and editing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), Microsoft Office, HTML, Drupal and Content Hub, along with knowledge of web and accessibility standards and layout and design principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • A valid driver’s licence, or the ability to obtain an Ontario Full G driver’s licence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM and email communication platforms, particularly Slate CRM, is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver graduate recruitment events, webinars and information sessions, from logistics and communications through to presentations, follow-up and evaluation.
  • Represent the University of Guelph at assigned domestic recruitment fairs and events.
  • Develop and coordinate the Graduate Student Ambassador program, including recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling and ongoing guidance.
  • Plan and implement graduate recruitment content and campaigns across digital, social media, email and web channels.
  • Manage assigned recruitment communications and CRM workflows in Slate, including inquiries, audience segmentation, email campaigns, event communications and prospective student engagement.
  • Support admitted and incoming student engagement and conversion initiatives, including webinars, communications and student connections.
  • Coordinate graduate orientation communications, onboarding materials and transition resources in collaboration with campus partners.
  • Update and maintain graduate studies webpages and digital content, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, user-friendly and aligned with University web and content standards.
  • Develop and update recruitment materials, presentations, webpages and communication templates while ensuring consistent University branding, accessibility and messaging.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
