Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Civil Engineering degree, with concentration in Geotechnical engineering
  • Completed foundational coursework in engineering geology, soil mechanics, and rock mechanics as part of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Geology, providing a strong technical basis for geotechnical analysis and field applications
  • Familiarity with routine geotechnical analysis
  • Coursework or work experience with numerical modelling
  • Successful completion of EIT exam, or ability to take EIT exam within 12 months
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard engineering software, including SLIDE, RS2, Settle3, GIS platforms, and AutoCAD. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong technical reporting and data‑analysis skills.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to work in the field for short-term projects
  • Demonstrated interest in your chosen field through previous internships, volunteering opportunities, or organization memberships
  • Creative thinking skills, with a methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills to engage confidently with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborative spirit and commitment to teamwork
  • Position requires a valid California Driver’s License and the ability to travel to project and field sites as needed, including operating either personal or company‑provided vehicles in compliance with applicable safety and driving regulations
