About The Position

Charleston Southern University is seeking a Graduate Enrollment Specialist to assist students through the recruitment process for the College of Business and College of Adult and Professional Studies degree programs. This role involves establishing professional business networks, contacting potential students via various communication channels, and collaborating with directors to manage student recruitment, acceptance, and retention. The position requires a commitment to building growing graduate degree programs and involves evening and weekend work for business expos, fairs, and community events. Professional dress and a reliable personal vehicle are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet the public well in both one-on-one and group situations.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maximize time and production to meet goals.
• Detail-oriented.
• Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office software.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must possess a reliable personal vehicle.
• Professional dress required.
• Regular, on-time attendance is an essential job function.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the admissions and financial aid process is desirable.
• CSU graduates will be given first consideration.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional business networks to result in mutually beneficial partnerships with the Graduate School, the university, and the community.
• Contact potential students via email and phone and text to discuss graduate school offerings.
• Work alongside the Director for the recruiting, acceptance, and retention of students.
• Communicate with team members in order to build substantially growing graduate degree programs.
• Conduct business expos, fairs, and community events, requiring evening and weekend work.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
