About The Position

The Graduate Student Worker for Student Government & Activities exists to support Belmont student involvement through various initiatives including campus-wide programming and Student Government within the Office of Student Engagement.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Enrollment in a University graduate studies program
  • Maintain full-time status (minimum six credit hours)
  • Must be enrolled as a Graduate student at Belmont University

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or knowledge of college student government is strongly preferred
  • Experience supervising or leading student workers
  • Experience multi-tasking
  • Creating and facilitating leadership development trainings
  • Engaging with constituents at multiple levels – senior campus administrators, students, faculty, and staff.
  • Creating and marketing events via social media

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to SAPB student coordinators
  • Aid in professional development and facilitation of student leader trainings and retreats
  • Support SAPB Event planning, marketing, implementation, and execution
  • Provide Supervision to SGA cabinet members
  • Aid in creating and facilitating training and leadership development opportunities for SGA members
  • Assist in the creation of bills and senate resolutions
  • Provide administrative support to the Student Engagement professional staff
  • Assist the Office of Student Engagement with analyzing data and completing reports
  • Attend and assist in execution and facilitation of meetings and events, which frequently take place outside traditional business hours, as scheduled by the Office of Student Engagement
  • Other Duties as assigned

Benefits

  • Hourly wage of $15
  • Maximum of 20 hours per week
  • 10-month position (August-May) totaling approximately $1200/month
