About The Position

The Graduate Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach assists with the day-to-day management of the women’s volleyball team, which requires some night and weekend work. Candidates for the Graduate Assistant Coach should possess a commitment to Christian higher education, utilize servant leadership style of leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be accepted and enrolled in an Ottawa University graduate program
  • Completed online admissions application

  • Submission of official undergraduate transcripts (3.0 GPA – minimum requirement) earned bachelor’s degree
  • Submission of a personal statement regarding career goals and three professional references
  • Other items as identified by the specific academic program
  • Completed employment application
  • Cover letter and resume
  • Eligible to work in the United States and present the proper documentation
  • International candidates must be able to secure an F1 student visa and meet the international admissions criteria for acceptance into the Ottawa University MBA program.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train and coach members of the athletic program
  • Recruit, retain and graduate student-athletes who contribute to the success of the program and vibrancy of campus life
  • Fund and friend raising for the advancement of the program
  • Provide oversight of student-athletes academic progress toward degree completion
  • Assist with any and all administrative duties as assigned
  • Insure adherence to the NAIA and rules and regulations including the NAIA Champions of Character 5 core values
  • Provide leadership for campus involvement and community service
  • Provide Christ-centered leadership and direction for the basketball program
  • Other duties as assigned
