About The Position

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE), a NAIA School which competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Graduate Assistant for Women’s Soccer. Duties include administration in all phases of the program, including recruiting, player-evaluation, practice planning and implementation, off-season conditioning, fund-raising, and scheduling, other coaching duties or administrative duties as assigned. The position is under the direct supervision of the Head Coach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be enrolled full-time in a master’s degree program at the University of Pikeville and eligible for participation in the Graduate Assistant program (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred).
  • Must remain in good academic and judicial standing with the University.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations established by the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth through ongoing learning, research, and innovative coaching practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, students, and staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous collegiate playing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across all phases of the athletic program.
  • Assist with all aspects of NAIA-compliant recruiting, including identifying and evaluating prospective student-athletes through live games, showcases, and video analysis.
  • Contribute to practice and game planning, including film breakdown and video coordination.
  • Lead position-specific skill development for assigned areas.
  • Support the planning and execution of daily practices.
  • Track, compile, and distribute scrimmage and match statistics.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of off-season conditioning programs.
  • Support the coordination and execution of camps, fundraising initiatives, and other program development activities.
  • Assist with team scheduling logistics, including travel arrangements, team meals, and lodging for home and away competitions.
  • Provide ongoing administrative and operational support to the Head Coach.
  • Other duties as assigned.
