About The Position

The Graduate Assistant Coach for Men’s Basketball will report directly to the Head Coach on all matters related to the operation of the program. The position requires an enthusiastic coach who possesses a strong work ethic, a commitment to diversity, and an interest in pursuing a career in coaching. The responsibilities of this position are restricted and defined by NCAA rules and guidelines, as well as the NGU student policies and conduct expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Supports NGU’s mission statement and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle and character in keeping with a biblical model.
• Affirm an understanding of the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
• Affirm understanding of the University’s Statement on Human Flourishing
• Agree to abide by the employee handbooks, including community standards agreements.

Responsibilities

• Organizing team travel arrangements, holiday housing and meals for all student athletes.
• Assisting with on-campus recruiting within NCAA guidelines for prospective student athletes.
• Film exchange per Conference Carolinas and NCAA guidelines.
• Assisting with purchases of all equipment including uniforms, office supplies, audio visual.
• Assisting in supervision of team academic progress.
• Day-to-day office management and working with facilities scheduling.
• Liaison between the Strength and Conditioning staff and the men’s basketball program.
