About The Position

The Department of Kinesiology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time GA for Fall 2026. This Graduate Research Assistant position supports the Principal Investigator (Dr. Brian Green) in executing a funded Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity project evaluating running mechanics, movement quality, and injury risk factors in CSUSM student athletes. Primary responsibilities include coordinating research sessions with student-athletes and athletics staff, assisting with video and motion capture data collection during field and laboratory testing, processing video recordings to evaluate movement patterns, managing de-identified research files, and supporting the preparation of study findings for presentations and research publications. Responsibilities

  • Coordinating research sessions with student-athletes and athletics staff
  • Assisting with video and motion capture data collection during field and laboratory testing
  • Processing video recordings to evaluate movement patterns
  • Managing de-identified research files
  • Supporting the preparation of study findings for presentations and research publications
  • Work directly with the Principal Investigator on research coordination, participant recruitment, testing administration, motion capture video processing, data management, and scientific presentation preparation for the RSCA running assessment project.
