The Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement and Community Relations will gain hands-on experience in budget management, printed and digital marketing, and event planning – both on the large and small scale – as well as advising the Cardinal Activities Board. The GA will learn to build and maintain relationships with campus leaders, campus partners, and community stakeholders to foster opportunities for collaboration as well as represent the Office of Student Engagement and Belonging at various college events, including, but not limited to: tabling at resource fairs, delivering presentations to prospective students, etc. Students in the Higher Education or Organizational Leadership degree programs will have the opportunity to utilize leadership development and management theories and apply structured processes in the various tasks assigned.
