About The Position

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) seeks a Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant who will serve under the direction of the Assistant AD for Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning. This position will assist in a number of capacities and assist with various sports within the athletic department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
• Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students
• Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week) with regular attendance
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable with work tasks
• Previous athletics experience
• Effective communication skills
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• Progress Towards CSCS and/or SCCC Certification
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and implementation of training programs
• Meet with coaches and athletic trainers to collaborate on program design and modifications as necessary
• Supervision of student-athletes in weight room
• Assist with the daily maintenance of weight room and equipment
• Other duties as assigned
