The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Gannon University is committed to excellence in student-centered learning, with an emphasis on student learning outcomes. Graduate Assistants play an important role in achieving these outcomes by working collaboratively with program faculty and fellow Graduate Assistants to support program operations, facilitate open laboratory experiences, provide academic support as requested by faculty, and assist with clinical practice opportunities. While each Graduate Assistant has primary responsibilities, all GAs are expected to work collaboratively, support one another, and contribute to program needs as they arise. As leaders and representatives of the DPT Program, Graduate Assistants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, initiative, flexibility, maintain student confidentiality, and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the standards and values of the program. This position is for students beginning the second year of the DPT program. Career Readiness Competencies Communication: Effectively communicate with faculty, peers, and students while demonstrating respect for diverse learning styles, communication abilities, and cultural backgrounds. Teamwork: Collaborate with faculty and fellow Graduate Assistants to support program operations, assist one another as needed, and contribute to shared program goals. Professionalism: Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, dependability, confidentiality, and timely completion of responsibilities while serving as a leader and representative of the DPT Program.
