This graduate assistant position supports the archival processing and redescription of Hawaiian Collection archival materials for the Kaho'iwai: Reclaiming Hawaiian Knowledge Sovereignty grant funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Specifically, this graduate assistant, under the supervision of Hawaiian Collection librarians, will process and redescribe a selection of Hawaiian Collection archival materials and support the development of the Hawaiian Knowledge Organization System (HKOS) and its application to Hawaiian sovereignty-, culture-, and history-related archival materials. This position is in the Hawaiian and Pacific Collections Department of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa Library and is renewable annually for the duration of the grant, subject to funding availability and good academic standing.
